Be A Safe Driver - Tips for high speed driving

THE AIR PRESSURE LEAKS WHETHER YOU USE YOUR CAR OR NOT
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR TYRE PRESSURE ONCE A MONTH!

Tyre Care

HOW TO CHECK THE AIR PRESSURE?
Did you know that the air pressure in the tyres falls naturally by approximately 10-20kPa a month?
Check your tyre pressure once a month when the tyres are cold. The optimum air pressure varies from car to car. It is written on the label inside the driver’s door.

Tyre CareMake sure the tyres are cold.
The tyres and wheels get hot when in motion.

Tyre CareAir gauge
Fit the air gauge to the valve and check the air pressure.

Tyre CareSoapy Water
Put soapy water on the valve and check for bubbles indicating an air leak.

Tyre CareValve Cap
Don’t forget to put the valve cap back on when you have finished checking.
Screw the cap on securely. Check the valve base for damage or leakage.

Go to a tyre shop or a gas station when your tyres need to be inflated.
Recommending Nitrogen gas
Tyre Care
Air pressure in the tyre falls gradually. The reduction is less when the tyres are inflated with nitrogen gas instead of air.

Advantages of Nitrogen gas:
Leakage is less as compared
   to air.
Less leakage improves
   maneuverability, irregular
   wear and fuel economy.
Tyre Care
The recommended air pressure is written on a label stuck in one of these places inside the driver’s door.

Too little air in the tyres reduces performance and may cause an accident.

Tyre Care
Don’t forget to check the spare tyre!
