The Test for Bridgestone Sturdo was conducted inhouse by Bridgestone India Technical Service team. Route was selected to cover scenarios including (but not limited to) straight roads, curves and ghat areas. To even out the chances of variations due to (but not limited to) vehicle geometry, driving conditions and traffic, the cars were driven together, and the tyres were rotated between the vehicles every 5000 KMs. The distance covered by the vehicles was tracked through GPS. Tyre tread depth, wear rate and general vehicle condition were also inspected once every 5,000 kms.
The tyre life of Sturdo was found to be 29% higher than B290 by running the vehicles for 40,000 kms and projecting to wear up to Tread wear indicators.
